John Daniely, better known as “Johnny” to his loved ones, was born July 9th, 1941 to Idella & John Daniely in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was a wonderful and loving father, husband and son during his time with us.

John graduated from Langley Highschool, in Pittsburgh, in June of 1960.  He went on to serve his country in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1969.  Upon his discharge , in a letter of recommendation for John, his commanding officer stated “In his time serving in the United Stated Army, John has proven himself to be a trustworthy and dependable soldier.
I recommend him for any position requiring responsibility, I only regret he chose to leave the Army”.

John continued to always be dependable and trustworthy to his family.  John met and fell in love with Shirley Joyce Poole, and in 1966 they were united in marriage in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  They went on to have three children, Pamela, John Jr. and Adrienne.
During his time raising his family, John worked with Kerotest Manufacturing Company starting in 1966.  He remained there for the next 18 years.  In 1986, John started his career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the Department of Corrections and eventually worked his way up to Metal shop Supervisor, where he supervised inmates who produced license plates for the State of Pennsylvania.  He retired in 2005.

John loved his car and driving.  During his retirement,  he volunteered to drive for a family funeral home business and  allowed himself to be “on call” for his family in Pittsburgh,  driving family members to doctors appointments, work when needed, and mall and grocery store trips.

He also loved listening to music and going to  movies , but he especially loved sports.  Football was his favorite sport, and he was a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team passing on his love of the game and the Steelers to his son John Jr.  He rarely missed watching a Steelers game,  and held superbowl parties at his home in Pittsburgh during the 1970s for his family and friends.

He prided himself in his children’s completion of their college education at Penn State University , and was also a fan of Penn State football.

John leaves behind his wife, Shirley Poole Daniely,  three children, Pamela Cromity and husband Steve,

John Daniely Jr. and wife Sheila,  Adrienne Tankard and husband Jovan,  four grandchildren, Ethan Miles Tankard, John Mack Daniely, Christina Cromity and Steve Cromity III., and four siblings residing in Pittsburgh,  Gus Johnson, Chris Johnson, Pauline Burleigh, and James Daniely,  whom he loved dearly.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love of his family and his good natured and loving spirit.
 He will be

missed immensely.
